Interruptions

...are inevitable. And, most of the time they aren't intended. They just occur.

Most of us don't sit around waiting for something to happen, waiting to be interrupted. We're already engaged. And this, by definition, is what creates the interruption. And, it's also what makes us feel angered, annoyed and bothered as if the interruptor somehow had it out for us.

What if we took a different posture with interruptions instead? What if we let them be? What if we welcomed them? What if we did our best work despite them? Or, even because of them? What if we paused, and enjoyed the new moment? What if we could do this, merely for a second or two? What if we showed gratitude to the interruptor? Would this make things better?

Interruptions or pauses? We get to choose.

Choose wisely.
