Bad Things Always Happen in Three's

We try to make order of things and explain them. It's part of being human. It's also a flaw. Applying our confirmation bias to randomness serves to mitigate the chaos of everything. It helps us feel like there is some control, a universal set of rules in place to ensure some order. But, it also distorts reality, and can lead to paralysis...it's just the way it is.

Bad things happen...regularly and sometimes randomly to everyone. We can bring them onto ourselves through poor choice. But, we can also be at the wrong place, at the right time. It's important to recognize the distinction and then work on those things which can change the outcome and make things better. Worrying about the rest of it, trying to make sense of it all is a distraction.

Superstition and wive's tales are fun to talk about. But, they rarely help us solve problems to make things better. Work hard, extra hard even, on explaining the things which can be explained. But recognize some things simply happen, and not always in three's.
