About

Hi, I'm Michael.

I believe everyone has the potential to lead change and make things better. These days I channel that into building — small projects fueled by curiosity, a camera that's rarely far from reach, and a belief that how you get somewhere matters as much as where you land.

I'm a photographer (you'll find that work at Get the Camera Out), a maker of odd and useful things (weather briefings, a charity contest platform, a cars-and-coffee rally, a community for people learning to build with AI), and someone who genuinely loves cameras, cars, and coffee.

My legacy work has revolved around hospitality and leadership — I've spent years leading teams to design and deliver memorable experiences, something I call innkeeping. I still speak and lead workshops on it. But mostly I'm curious: about people, places, cultures, and communities, and about what happens when you choose to start.
